Queensland Nuclear Imaging is a privately owned Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine and Echocardiography. We are located at the Prince Charles Hospital Private Practice Clinic, only 20 minutes away from Brisbane CBD.

We are now on the lookout for a dedicated and proactive Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our Northside Private Practice team in a part-time role, working three days a week. Additional hours with our partnered clinics are available if you are looking for full-time hours.

You will be working with a supportive and caring team of professionals passionate about providing ongoing support to patients. Moreover, you will enjoy brand-new and high-quality equipment and receive additional training to become a Cardiology Safety Officer.

Exciting part-time opportunity

In this role, you will perform all aspects of nuclear medicine, including radiopharmaceutical preparation to the highest standard.

Core duties:

  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures and ensure they meet clinical requirements;
  • Administer radionuclides and be responsible for safe handling of unsealed radioactive sources;
  • Record and archive patient data, examination statistics and other related information; and

You will also liaise with team members regarding nuclear medicine services, including radiation safety and protection.

What you will bring to the team

To thrive in this role, you will possess qualifications in nuclear medicine technology or a related field and a license to practice as a technologist. Moreover, you will have cannulation skills and an awareness of all aspects of radiation safety as they pertain to the practices of general Nuclear Medicine.

If you are moving from interstate, we will help you get your accreditation translated to meet Queensland’s requirements.

You will be an empathetic and caring individual with effective interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate and work as part of a cross-functional team. Crucial to your role is your ability to be reliable and have effective time management skills.
